Since my college days, I had owned memberships to various gyms; some as inexpensive as Bally’s and others as pricey as Tri-Health Pavilion and Spa. I had always worked out with weight machines and utilized treadmill, climber, and/or elliptical equipment to achieve my aerobic exercise. I would occasionally supplement my work outs with group classes offered at the gym. The results I achieved were great when I was in my 20s, okay when I was in my 30s and “not at all where I wanted to be” when I hit my 40s!
In June, after my workout partner moved away, I decided to start a personal training regimen with Alicia. We decided upon one-hour work-out sessions, twice weekly. These sessions combine strength training with cardiovascular exercise. I supplemented my workouts with rollerblading. In addition, I thought I’d try something I had never done before…I cut out some sugar and carbohydrates. Within a month, I saw amazing changes in my physique! Oh my God, I could see muscle and was starting to look lean. Within three months I had lost 20 pounds and dropped 2 dress sizes. Since summer, I have lost another 5 pounds and dropped one more dress size. I am officially leaner and lighter than I was on my wedding day at age 25!
After 5 months of Alicia’s personal coaching, constant encouragement and praise, I am “COMPLETELY where I want my body to be”! I am embarrassed that it took me so many years of working out, with mediocre results, before trying something different. I am a new person, inside and out, and so grateful to have the guidance of such an extraordinary trainer!
